The biking adventures of Mike & KK on the Lewis & Clark Trail from St Charles, Mo to Astoria ,OR in July/Aug, 2008. With other biking & traveling adventures.
A life-long cyclist,(over 254,000 miles!) Mike rode the entire Lewis and Clark trail, with support from his wife, KK. She rode too, but also shopped and scrapbooked. I usually ride about 10,000 miles a year so I was definitely in shape . I ended up riding over 2200 miles on the trip &; KK rode 620. What a great adventure!
Mike and KK I have really enjoyed the pictures and updates of your trip. Are you riding with a GPS or do you just have a topo map to referrence the elavation changes?
Love the poles holding up the walls as if someone were trying to save it for some future use. Went to school Thr/Fri and got some serious work on the Hawaiian mural. Called Judy to set up next years trip...looks expensive if we do the cruise.
hey, no gps, although that would be a good idea..I have the complete set of maps for the L&C bike rt , thru Adventure Cycling assoc out of Missoula , MT.they're very detailed, with a lot of info..currently in ID, at the L&C RV resort, right where the corps met with the nez perce
dave,,missoula was fine..didn't make it to a library, or bookstore, but did got to the HQ for Adventure Cycling..bought a few THINGS & got some free ice cream! we rode the bike paths in town, and found 68 cents! now, we're in ID and had a 60 mile down hill today! all beside a river, the entire time.
