Amber waves of grain
Hi all! up at 7:00 & coffee, coke & breakie..take down the camper and head north for Pierre. We drive 50 miles & see no-one..only wheat & corn fields and paririe dogs. A quick stop at the visitor center in Pierre & got some bogus info, but we end up at a nice resort (Bob's) on Lake Oahe (Mo river of course). Set up , have a sand & we both go for a 14 mile ride, but KK didn't want to go down the hill to the lake..a 240' drop in one mile..so I did, twice. I got some more water & went back out for a "few"..back to camp by 5:30, with 52 miles & 1450' climb. shower & go to supper at Bob's Steakhouse..what a great steak..the medium (24oz) sirlion & KK had shrimp. Plus we got a FAB sunset! Tomorrow? maybe ND. (sidebar-L&C were not here until late Oct, so we're ahead of that!)

Wish I could see the pics -- maybe I'm not clicking on the right thing. Glad you're still truckin' along and enjoying the p-dog villages. Today in OKC twil be 99 or so. What a change from a high of 64 in San Francisco. Miss you guys!
Hi! We have had relatives here since you left on your trip so had no time to look at your blog but I caught up today. Sounds like quite an experience and I am glad Carolyn is getting so much biking in. I can always count on her to shop. Ha!
Jerry's brother-in-law came here for 2 vintage car races, Beaverun and Schenley Park and Jer's sister came also, from CA. More family came in from NJ and Nick and all flew in from Ca for 10 days so for 3 weeks (not over yet), things have been crazy. I need a rest. I'll bet you will need a good one when you get home. Have fun!

We'd forgotten about all your company, bet you guys had a ball.
We're doing our best...
Tonight we're in Bismarck, ND. & there is shopping! Thank God civilisation!! Most of the towns we've been thru have been tiny & they are few & far between.
