Dakota sunflowers
Up to a cloudy & threatening skies, so let's get movin'! Breakfast sandwich & cookies & foldup the camper & ride our bikes into New Town to drop off some bills & maybe laundry..nope it's closed. I head off on the L&C route-still 1804- and a few sprinkles, but looks like the big rain went north. KK is going to ride in town a bit & then go to the Four Bears casino to laptop before coming after me. It's a very rolling , hilly & a lot of trucks (road construction & rock trucks), but fields & fields of sunflowers & no blooms. I did meet another biker-Matt of Ca-riding the northern tier to Maine & he was loaded down. I'm almost out of water & beg for some from some workers. Here comes KK! I got in 60 miles and 2600' today-much better. that cold "Gator" sure tasted good! A few snacks hit the spot too & we drive on to Williston, ND & a Travel Host motel for the night! I guess we deserve it after the last 3 weeks. unload, do laundry & shower! KK rode 12 miles today and is a real trooper with the camper bit. Supper? right by us at Trapper's Kettle..really good buffet, and especially the soup! Off to BIG SKY-Montana, tomorrow.

Hi Mike and KK, I greatly enjoyed reading your updates. Sounds like a wonderful trip. I hope one day I can put that many miles on a bike! I am sure you will enjoy Montana. We really enjoyed the wild life and trails when we were there. Have a safe trip and keep on biking! Shelly
Good riding today! Can't wait to hear abour Montana and if it's as beautiful as I've always imagined. Glad you treated yourselves to some luxury in a Motel (not an O-tel) with shower. More pix, pleez!
