Was it a great trip? YES! Without a doubt. The trip home was the worst of course & it took us a week to get over it & then Dottie got us sick so it seemed even worse. And KK coughed for a month! Our "guide" was the best! I think every one's favorite spot was Pompeii, with the Colosseum a close second. mainly just how old they all were and how long they have lasted. I had seen a few documentaries on Pompeii, so I was very interested in that spot. It was so ahead of it's time, with all of the fountains, sewers & bath systems & it was all lost in a volcanic instant. The Euro Trains were a welcome surprise & were very easy to ride & get to your destinations. (And without any security checks or Uzis.) Will we go back? probly..I'll keep yinz posted.
